Having flexible working hours is a bonus if you need to make appointments, like if you need to visit your Evansville dentist Dr. Max Lingo for sedation dentistry or cosmetic dentistry, although most employers allow you to make time in your daily schedule for taking care of your dental and physical health.
Starting April 1, Dr. Lingo’s office will be open new hours. The new schedule will be:
Monday – 8am – 5pm
Tuesday – 8am – 5pm
Wednesday – 8am – 12pm
Thursday – 8am – 5pm
Friday – 8am -12pm
According to a new survey by business research firm Clutch, flexible work hours are the perk that employees want most and that makes them feel most satisfied with the jobs. The survey found that more than 40 percent of full-time U.S. employees surveyed said flexible hours are the most important perk they receive. Second most important was professional development, with 22% of workers surveyed it the most important.
The study also found that women value flexible scheduling more, and that adjusting working hours without being penalized is a key perk for working moms who need to drop off or pick up their children, go to school events or take their child to the doctor or dentist.
The Clutch survey indicates that employee perks contribute to a stronger work-life balance. Over half of the respondents said their employer-sponsored perks give them a better quality of work life, while nearly half said perks make them feel valued by their employers.
Perks add to daily life at work, and can be defined as anything that enhances an employee’s daily experience, such as free food or fitness activities or health screenings, or even an easily-accessible candy jar.
To gather the data for its 2018 Company Culture and Employee Perks Survey, Clutch gathered data from more than 500 people from across the United States who are employed full-time.
